My Dear Parents: -
Something is wrong with the mail. We haven't received any for about ten days. That seems a long time for me because my mail is very regular. We are still marking time in this spot and don't know where or when we will march again. To amuse ourselves we have been collecting all the data we have saved since we started out. In this epistle I am enclosing the orders for the battle we never fought and under separate cover some other data and pictures I want you to save. These are pictures of each sector we have been in and give a good idea of the manner of country we had to fight over.
I am in fine health again and still holding down my job. Each day we have our rain and increase in mud but the weather is very warm for December. I am looking forward to eating that fruit cake. You had better bake some more and hide it in the roaster in the closet. Then in case I breeze in some night late, it will be easy for me to find. There is nothing to tell you of and so I will enclose my best love and many kisses for you all.
